Mediation
One table, one neutral lawyer, both of you
In mediation I don't represent either of you. I run the session, keep it on the agenda you chose, and write down what you agree.
Mediation is for couples and parents who'd rather settle than fight, or who need help with the one or two issues they're stuck on. Sessions run three hours, by video or in my office, and you can split the fee any way you like.

A session
Three hours, in three parts
- 01
Step 1: Before
Each of you sends me, separately, the issues you want settled and any papers that matter.
- 02
Step 2: During
We work through the agenda together, with private breaks when either of you needs one.
- 03
Step 3: After
You both get a written summary of what you agreed and what's left open.

Court filing fees and the cost of serving papers go to the court and the server, not to me, and aren't in any flat fee.
Mediation questions
Mediation, asked plainly
Can you advise me during mediation?
No. As the mediator I stay neutral. You can each have your own lawyer review the agreement before you sign.
Is what we say kept private?
Mediation sessions are generally confidential, with some limits set by law. I'll go over them at the start of the first session.
What if one session isn't enough?
Book another. Each session is priced the same, and many couples need two.
Settle what you can, by the session
Tell me the issues you're stuck on. I'll tell you how many sessions it usually takes and what each one costs.
